BookEnds, LLC.
I am a literary agent for BookEnds, LLC. Thoughts, opinions and statements expressed here are not necessarily those of BookEnds.
BookEnds Literary Agency first opened its doors in 1999 as a book packaging company. At the time, they were looking to take their own fresh and fun ideas and find just the right people to create the books publishers were looking for. Over time, they missed working on fiction and seeing what could come from an author’s imagination as well as an author’s platform. So not two years after opening its doors, BookEnds changed its literary status to Agency.
Despite a change in name, BookEnds continues to operate with the same attitude as when they started: They’re about achieving dreams and doing what they love. Representing fiction and nonfiction for a primarily adult market, BookEnds agents continue to live their dreams while helping authors achieve theirs. (from the BookEnds website).
I just began accepting submissions for the agency in the following areas:
Upmarket commercial/mainstream fiction
Literary fiction – the love of my life
Mystery (with a very strong focus on cozies)
Romance (all genres)
Women’s fiction (all, but I’m especially fond of upmarket women’s fiction)
Historical fiction
Steampunk
Memoir
Parenting, family and relationships
Food and lifestyle
Business
Popular science
Popular culture
Popular psychology
I’m looking forward to representing talented authors and helping them achieve their dreams! To query me, please email me at submissions@bookends-inc.com.
Lauren,
Please see the comment I left for you under Queries. Thank-you.

Hi Lauren,
I also wanted to know about YA/MG. I’m assuming that you aren’t passionate about them since they aren’t included on this list as well as the Agency site.
Thanks,
Katie
I found your ‘SlushPile Tales’ very interesting and helpful. I am just learning the craft. I am so over eager that I accidently purchased $440 worth of courses with FF&P. I am so happy my husband understood. Thank you. Mary
Hi Lauren,
On the BookEnds site, it says you’re accepting YA/MG, but it doesn’t say that here. Are you still looking for YA?
